Briare (Loire)
Briare is located at the junction of a river journey rich in historic towns and villages and gastronomy.
Briare has a network of small canalls. Canal Briare was built under Henri IV. It is powered by the plant-lifting of the nineteenth century. Designed by Léonce-Abel Mazoyer and Gustave Eiffel, the canal bridge is a monument to himself. He also was the longest of its kind in Europe for over a century (today is the aqueduct of Magdeburg on the Elbe with 918m in length) In particular, he spend the side channel the Loire above the river. The Church of St. Stephen Briare date of the nineteenth century and is classified a historical monument since 1987. It is distinguished by its decorations made for part of Briare enamel.
Castle Gate Kit-date period. It is home to temporary exhibitions. Older, the castle of the Lords of channel Loyre Seine was cosntruit before the eighteenth century, when it was redesigned. It is the site where the town hall.
The story of the famous Enamels Briare is told to Mosaic Museum and enamels. There is also a two Marines Museum and Canal Bridge.
The market is held on Friday morning.
The Cloadius (caramel candy with liquor) and goat cheeses are typical of the region. Just as the Coteaux du Giennois for glass.

Châtillon-sur-Loire (Bourgogne-Nivernais)
